Personal: I am a former collegiate football player (offensive lineman) who took up running to lose weight, and in the process I have become addicted! I started running at 290 lbs. I am married and we are expecting our first child in September 2014. |

| Today kind of sucked, but I got through it! Went to my rec basketball game expecting to play maybe 5 minutes, but we only had five so I ended up playing the whole game. Luckily the team we played sucked, and I was able to loaf around, but still in 32 minutes of full court basketball there is plenty of running. Around two miles worth, probably more but I rounded down :) After the game I went over to my parents to help move furniture around. They got new carpet today. After the moving of the furniture I tried to coax Katie into running with me, but it didn't work so I ended up on my own and did a SUPER easy 2 mile jog around the hood here in West Valley. Everything felt pretty good considering I ran a marathon on Saturday :) |

| So I got a bit ambitious today, and I'm not entirely sure that is a good thing :) I started off just moseying at just over a 9 min mile, and I did that for 3 miles. Then I decided that I was going to pick it up for a 1/4 mile at an 8 min pace. That 1/4 mile quickly turned into a whole mile. Then at the end of that mile I decided that I was going to do just a 1/4 mile at a 7:13 pace, but that 1/4 mile quickly turned into 3/4. I then cooled down for a 1/2 mile. I was planning on doing six, but because I got a bit carried away with the pace I decided to end early to avoid over-doing it. The good news is that I feel really good. |

I think today is going to be my off day. Hopefully I can hold off for the rest of the night . . .
Well that was a complete fail :) I went out tonight because I wanted to shake my legs out a bit. I promised myself that I was just going to run a mile, but then I ran into my sister and my 1 mile quickly turned into 3! Luckily they were 3 easy ones. Anyways, the legs are feeling very good, and tomorrow will probably be a real workout . . . . I don't know whether or not that is a good thing :)

| AM: 1 hour of basketball. I played pretty bad today, but it was a lot of fun! Lot's of good exercise too! PM: Nice solid run. The legs felt pretty good, and I just went by feel. I took it easy for the first 6 miles, then I got a little ambitious on mile 7 and cranked out a 7:30 mile. Then I cooled it down a bit for another mile. The average pace was an 8:21. Today felt really good!! |

| Nice and easy, still recovering a bit from the marathon, and yesterdays solid effort. The run was just a nice steady loop around the hood. Average pace was 8:50, and everything felt pretty solid. I think I am going to continue taking it easy tomorrow, and then throw a decent long run in there on Monday. |

| Today was my last recovery day, and it was an eventful one! Woke up at 5 and got up to Pineview to continue our quest for the famed Tiger Muskie. When we got to our super special spot there were a few in the water and on my second cast I caught an enormous fish (see picture) After we paddled around the reservoir a couple times and caught one other fish we drug our butts back to Syracuse where I drug my brother in law on a nice and easy 4 mile run.
