Personal: I am a former collegiate football player (offensive lineman) who took up running to lose weight, and in the process I have become addicted! I started running at 290 lbs. I am married and we are expecting our first child in September 2014. |

| Well, the run didn't go as planned today, but there were definitely some positives. First the bad . . . I had to cut it short because of some frequent bathroom stops (trying to keep it PG here!) The good news was that I still hit my goal of 40 miles this week, as I slowly build up to the 60-70 miles a week range, and I was able to finish with a decent push. Anyways, looking forward to my slow but steady build-up! |

| A pretty nice run. My longest in a while, it's too bad that I ended up on the treadmill. I cruised for the first 12 @ 8:34, then I cranked it down to a 7:30 pace for 2 miles then cooled down until I hit the 2 hour mark. Things are feeling solid, and I am enjoying the build-up towards more significant mileage! |

The first being that last night I rolled my ankle pretty good playing basketball, second that my left hamstring decided to ball up on me, third I had a stomach attack during the run and fourth that I waited too long to go to the gym. | AM: Hardcore hoops. We played for about 90 min today, and we played really hard! No taking it easy. My team won the TCBA Christmas/New Years Invitational, 3-2. Good for 4 miles on my legs. PM: I kind of wondered how hard I had worked playing this morning, and my question was answered! My legs were dead, and I really had to grind through it. First 3 around 8:40 then the next 7 around 8:00 then .5 cool down. Good productive day, I always like to run on tired legs. |
