Get Back into REAL shape. Long-Term Running Goals:
- Win the Clydesdale division in a marathon
- Qualify for and run Boston
- Run a sub 3 hr. Marathon
Personal: I am a former collegiate football player (offensive lineman) who took up running to lose weight, and in the process I have become addicted! I started running at 290 lbs. I am married and we are expecting our first child in September 2014. |

| First ever REAL trail run. From the north ogden divide all the way up to Ben Lomond peak. Took me just over 3 hrs. I was pretty happy with how it went. Saw 2 moose, 4 mountain goats, and several deer. Perfect introduction to the trails. |

| Basically the skyline 50k route. Started at North Fork campground and headed up the trail towards the saddle. Section was tough because of all the trail overgrowth. Cruised down to the divide nice and easy, then started the climb towards Lewis peak. It was pretty steep, and I wasn't ready for it. I made it up pretty slowly and headed towards the peak. Didn't go all the way up because the snake stops started to get annoying. Headed towards wind surfer beach where Katie picked me up. Tough run but a fun one! 12:35 avg pace 5,980 feet elevation gain. |
