Get Back into REAL shape. Long-Term Running Goals:
- Win the Clydesdale division in a marathon
- Qualify for and run Boston
- Run a sub 3 hr. Marathon
Personal: I am a former collegiate football player (offensive lineman) who took up running to lose weight, and in the process I have become addicted! I started running at 290 lbs. I am married and we are expecting our first child in September 2014. |

| No time for a solid run amongst the moving madness!! Yeah, Katie and I bought a house, so last weekend and today was crazy!! Good run though. Had a straight 2 miles hard on the tread, with some easy stuff around it! |

| I got the OK to run this, I just had to take it slow. I didn't want to bail on my second marathon in a row. Things went pretty good, I enjoyed myself except for one little thing . . . . The rain wiped out my vaseline, and I chaffed pretty bad . . . let's just say that there was blood down BOTH of my legs, I think I scared a few people a long the way :) Overall it felt good to get back at it . . . the best part was NO HAMMY PAIN! I am starting to get excited to get back into it aggressively! I just have to work into it slowly |

| Early: To the gym so I could push it a bit more, and monitor my pace more closely. Started slow then worked into a pretty good groove before tapering off into a cool-down. 8:49, 8:34, 8:20, 8:00, 7:43, 7:35, 3:31(.5miles), 8:34, 4:37 (.5miles). Late: played full court basketball for an hour, not hard though, (2mile) just nice and easy. It worked good for a shakeout. I'm getting so close to being back!

Solid 7 miles today . . . I mixed in some hills and tempo work, but I think I need to take it a bit easier tomorrow, this has been a big week for me. LATE: basketball again, half court for 90 minutes. (2 miles)

| SLOW day, my legs have had just about enough this week, but that is ok! Nice and easy for 6, then ran as hard as I could for the last .5. I ran out by Saltair, which was nice because it is as flat as a pancake. |
